According to one of the Emeritus Pope’s former students, Benedict XVI considers the quest for God is the challenge faced by the modern society. The emeritus Pope’s former student, Fr. Stephan Horn who organized the annual meeting of Ratzinger’s students, was speaking on the topic of challenge faced by the modern society.
“Pope Emeritus did not tell us why we have to discuss the topic on, Speaking about God in the contemporary world. But Benedict XVI was so sure about the need of the hour”, says Fr. Horn. Benedict XVI also emphasized Church’s needs to find new ways to speak about God.
Fr. Horn underscored that today’s society needs to discuss about God. Because, the modern trend is focusing on what man can do. The idea of annual meeting arose in 1977 while Ratzinger was the Archbishop of Munich and Freising..
