“Sister in the Spirit” to be canonized

Eliz-2-800x418Pope Francis approved the canonization of Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity, the nun who is described as the “sister in the Spirit” of St Thérèse of Lisieux.

The Vatican recently authorized the second miracle attributed to Blessed Elizabeth which was connected with a Belgian Woman, Mary-Paul Stevens. She was suffering from an untreatable disease called, Sjögren syndrome. She made a pilgrimage to the Carmel at Flaverignot to thank Blessed Elizabeth for helping her. After the pilgrimage Mary-Paul was found cured.

The cure was studied and was submitted to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. However the canonization date of Blessed Elizabeth is not announced. It would be on March 15.

Blessed Elizabeth is famous for her writings on the Trinity and for her prayer “Holy Trinity, Whom I Adore.”
