Scientists look up to Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, Adoration of the Magi with the hope that it might provide them enough evidences of its creator. They would do a scientific test on the famous art work to discover the artist’s face which could finally offer clues about his life and health.
According to Sky News, the pioneer of human genome, California’s J Craig Venter Institute, would examine the hairs and flakes of skin on Da Vinci’s paintings and notebooks.
A genetic analysis would be conducted on them and DNA found it in would be compared with those known living relatives and with those taken from his parent’s grave.
The scientist’s expect that they would be able to find out the eye color, hair color, skin color and face shape of Renaissance master. This might provide clues for his appearance. Health information would also be extracted.
