Pope meets new Argentine Ambassador and former student  in Vatican

img2016022218260556cb44adb89b2Pope Francis and the new ambassador of Argentina had an emotional meeting in Vatican. The newlty-appointed Argentine Ambassador to the Vatican, Rogelio Pfirter presented his letters of credentials to Pope Francis at the Vatican Apostolic Library.

Pfirter was a student of Pope Francis in 1964. The Pontiff who was only 28- years-old was teaching Literature and Psychology at a school in Santa Fe province. He was not even a priest then.

Pfirter, who is now 67-year-old had been ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1995 to 2000 and general director of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons from 2002 to 2010.
