“Refugees are not numbers, they are people who have faces, names, stories, and need to be treated as such”, Pope Francis has wrote in his tweet.

Pope had a brief encounter with Alexix Tsyprus, Prime Minister of Greece. The talk did not last too long since the refugees in Moria refugee camp were waiting for him. Pope will have lunch with the refuges and will embrace their sufferings.

Pope is being accompanied by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople and the Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymus II. They will spend 6 hours in Lesbos.
