The Pope would remain in the house for a week and would pray with the members of the Roman Curia.  During the Sunday Angelus address, the Pope requested the faithful to pray for him and for those participating with him. The Holy Father along with the Curia members left the Papal house at 4pm and arrived at Ariccia by 6pm.

Father Ermes Ronchi of the Order of the Servants of Mary was entrusted by the Pope to lead the meditation. The preacher would propose a series of reflections around the theme, “The bare questions of the Gospel,” from John’s Gospel: “Jesus turned and saw them following him, and said to them: What are you looking for?” ( Jn 1, 38).

The retreat would conclude on March 11th. Till then all the activities of the Pope including the weekly General Audience are suspended.
