On the commemoration day which put an end to World War II, Pope Francis pleaded with the people by saying, “never again” to war. By seeing incidents similar to that of World War Pope condemned arms trafficking, which is the root cause of all horror tragedies.
Today, the victims of war are the persecuted minorities, the persecuted Christians. The weapons are soaked in the blood of many innocent people, Pope told while he was addressing pilgrims gathered in St. Peter’s Square.
Pope concluded his message by presenting the entire world into the hands of God through the intersession of Blessed Mary. He prayed that let the God protect the entire world from every tragedy.
The Second World War was officially ended on September 2, 1945. Millions of soldiers and civilians give up their life during six year conflict that engulfed large parts of Europe, Asia and Pacific.
