This time mercy has taken its shape in the form of People’s Postcode Lottery, a Scottish charity organization. The organisation took efforts to fill the empty little stomachs of the children in the schools of Lebanon. With the funding from this organization Global child hunger charity named Mary’s Meals would be feeding these children.
The initiative would provide school meals to around 1,000 children at a school in the town of Antelias, located 5km north of Beirut, Lebanon. The Syrian Civil War led more than 1.1 million refugees to cross the border of Syria and to land in Lebanon.
The United Nations had said that more than two million Syrian children were already out of schools and were in the danger of becoming a ‘lost generation.’ As time passes, it would be difficult to bring them back to schools.
