Pope spent about 20 minutes in prayer in front of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He presented her with a crown and a bouquet of yellow roses. Before departing from the room, the Pope rose to his feet and prayed for few minutes longer.

In his homily the Pope shared the consoling and comforting message of Our Lady of Guadalupe that he came there as a mother and nobody was too small or insignificant for him. “Mary tells us that she has ‘the honour’ of being our mother, assuring us that those who suffer do not weep in vain,” the Pope said.
