Pope Francis, the champion of the poor and the marginalized people, poured his heart out as he said: “It is violence to build barriers to separate those seeking peace, and to enlarge the distance between those who waste what is extra and those who lack what they actually need” The Pope has delivering his message on the International Meeting for Peace which is organized every year by the Sant’Egidio Community.
Pope added that rejecting refuge to people seeking shelter from inhuman conditions is violence. He also said that it is violence to exclude children and the elderly from society and from life itself.
“Faith makes us to think of peace. It is faith that guides us to think of God restricting ourselves from the works of evil, Pope reaffirmed” the Holy Father said.
“As believers we are called to rediscover that universal vocation to peace deposited in the heart of our different religious traditions, and to propose it again with courage to the men and women of our time,”he added..
