The Australian city of Canberra received world’s attention with its illuminated Christmas tree. The tree was made of steel and had 72 feet height. The main attraction was 518,838 twinkling lights that it holed. David Richards, was the brain behind this innovative idea. The intention behind the erection of Christmas tree was to raise fund for Canberra’s Sudden Infant Death Syndrome charity (SIDS).
